The Rams hosted Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson in District play Friday night and removed any doubt early in the first quarter about the outcome of the game.
SEP received the opening kickoff and Deion Mikesell return the kick for a touchdown to open the quick scoring attack. After a CBTJ fumble, Caleb Pavon took the first hand off from scrimmage for the Rams and went 21 yards for the second touchdown. The Ram defense forced another turn over at mid-field and on the first play of the series, Thomas McLaughlin found Matt Veenstra wide open down the middle of the field for a touchdown. After 3 minutes of play, the Rams had scored three touchdowns off of one special teams play and two offensive plays.
The first quarter ended with a 35-0 Ram lead and the defense held the Yellow Jackets in check the rest of the way as SEP added three additional scores.
With the 56-0 win the Rams are now 3-3 on the season and 2-0 in District play. This Friday, SEP will travel to Ames to take on the Little Cyclones in a 7PM match-up.
